| Our Mission The Columbus Area Down Syndrome Support Group is a support network that informs and educates parents, self-advocates, family members, professionals, and friends of individuals with Down syndrome. We are committed to raising awareness of Down syndrome and promoting an inclusive culture where all people with Down syndrome are valued participants in the social, recreational, educational and economic opportunities in the communities we serve. |
| Welcome The Columbus Area Down Syndrome Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month at First Christian Church in Columbus, Indiana. Please join the us for an evening of fellowship while we all continue to learn more about improving the lives of everyone impacted by Down syndrome. Meeting times are 7:00 p.m. Use the Lafayette Street Entrance. The Columbus Area Down Syndrome Support Group encourages anyone impacted by Down syndrome to join the group or simply come to any meeting of interest. This invitation is extended to parents, grandparents and siblings of children with Down syndrome. Professionals who work with people with Down syndrome are also encouraged to get involved with the group. This includes teachers, therapists, doctors and clergy. |
